Nosara & Costa Rica
The main surfing beach is actually called Playa Guiones. There are numerous hotels and restaurants in the area
that cater to surfers, fisherman, and other tourists. The area is home to many American retirees. The beach is a
five mile strectch of sand that goes from great surf spots on the north end to tidepools and quiet spots on the south
end.

The town of Nosara is located near the Pacific Ocean in the Guanacaste region of Costa Rica. The Guanacaste
region is in the Northwest part of the country. The region is generally drier than other parts of the country. Nosara
is a small town about five minutes inland from the beach. It is centered around the town soccer field. The
airport/airstrip is located adjacent to the town. There are some good local restaurants with good prices that cater to
the locals and tourists that venture away from the beach. Check out Restaurant Cassona and Rancho Tico. And for
nightlife on the weekends, party with the local Ticas at the Tropicana. It's been remodeled and has two dancefloors.
